Location
The ministry of Hope For Mexico Missions is based in the town of Guasave in Sinaloa, Mexico. Guasave is on the west coast of mainland Mexico, with the Sea of Cortez to the west. The majority of HFMM’s ministry takes place in the city of Guasave and the outlying villages of Alamito and Tamazula where we have planted churches.
Current Ministry Programs
We minister to the people of Alamito, Las Glorias, Tamazula, Guasavito, Carricitos, El Serrano, Guasave, and other surrounding communities through church services, cell groups, and other outreaches. Our ministries to reach the lost include crusades, tracts, prison, hospital, and migrant workers.
We provide aid for the needy by providing counseling, housing, clothes, medicine and food.
We teach a ministers’ preparation course for those who desire to prepare themselves for the ministry.
We are leaders in the local pastors alliance and enjoy the unity we have with many Christian denominations as we work together to reach our community.
We host church groups from the U.S. that come to do work projects and outreaches. The Mexican people in this area are very attracted to visiting groups and drawn to hear them share the Gospel in whatever form. We have been privileged to provide housing, training, and guidance to help church groups of all ages share their faith among the Mexican people.
Method of Operation
We make disciples of Jesus by presenting the gospel through personal contact, small discipleship groups, movies, dramas, outreaches, and church services. Once people have received Jesus, we begin teaching them about the Christian life by means of one-on-one or group Bible studies. We also invite them to participate in church services, special outings, and times of fellowship to encourage them to continue following the Lord. We do marriage and personal counseling to help each new disciple grow in Christ and be free from the traps and teachings of the world.
We help those in economic need by training them for employment and providing work opportunities. We also help those with emergency needs, while guarding against addictions.
We train each person for the ministry to which God has called him, from being a wife and mother to pastoring a church. We train new pastors and partner with them in their call to plant new churches with the hope of reaching more communities and repeating the discipleship process in more hearts.
We host individuals and church groups from the United States and act as facilitators so they are able to effectively impact the Mexican people with the gospel through short mission trips and long term mission works. We participate in the sharing of the gospel in harmony with other Christian churches wherever we go, being careful to always be an encouragement and support to other ministries.
