Another part of the ministry that is extremely important is building up the body of Christ as a whole rather than focusing just on the ministry of Hope for Mexico Missions.  This is being accomplished through the involvement in an alliance of pastors in the main city of Guasave.  This group is comprised of some 14 or 15 different churches in the area.  Every month the members gather together for discussions, praise, and a time of pray for each other.  The intent is to build up the unity within the local body of Christ by helping each other in as many ways as possible. Jeff continues to look for needs of the churches near by and in Guasave.  When a youth group or construction group come down to visit, the needs of the churches are matched with the abilities and desires of the visiting groups.  The various groups then partner together to meet the needs through outreach ministry, building projects or whatever is appropriate.  Through this and other opportunities the body of Christ is being built up and strengthened.  In this way the verse John 13:35, "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."  is being lived out each day.

The Alliance of Christian churches in Guasave hosts two monthly prayer and praise events where all the local Christian churches are invited to come pray and sing to the Lord together. These events have developed great fellowship and unity in the body of Christ in Guasave for many years.
